Police Central Dispatch received a call reporting that a young child had fallen into a swimming pool.
Police officers and emergency medical services rushed to the scene.
When they arrived, they found the child unresponsive in the water.
First responders immediately began CPR and transported the child to the Sint Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) for further treatment.
Despite the medical team’s best efforts, doctors pronounced the child dead shortly after arrival.
