Parliament Tuesday May 20 2025 Escalating State Of Crime Dutch St Maarten
The Parliament of Sint Maarten sat in an urgent Public meeting with the Minister of Justice, Ms. Nathalie Tackling on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.
This meeting was convened upon request by MP O.E.C. Ottley, MP F.A. Lacroes and MP L.C.J. Lewis, to discuss the escalating state of crime, the deteriorating conditions at the Point Blanche Prison, and the vulnerable state of the Justice Ministry.
The meeting was adjourned in the first round to allow the Minister time to prepare the answers to the questions posed by the Members of Parliament.
