CUPACOY, St. Martin — Four armed men carried out a bold robbery at Starz Cupacoy Casino on Friday afternoon, shortly after 4:00pm. The suspects, wearing face coverings, stormed the casino on two motorbikes, brandishing handguns. They quickly approached the cashier, seizing an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing through the French side of the island.
This marks the second robbery at the casino in just over a year. Last year, a similar scene unfolded when a group of men and women executed a daring heist at the same location.
Police spokesman Josepha confirmed the robbery and stated that authorities are actively investigating the matter. He urged the public to come forward with any information that could help lead to the arrest of the suspects.
Notably, the motorbikes used in the heist were not registered with license plates, complicating the investigation.
