From 14 to 20 June, the Netherlands Armed Forces in the Caribbean will carry out a hurricane emergency response exercise across the Windward Islands.

The majority of the personnel taking part are already stationed in the region. Key participants include the Marine Detachment Sint Maarten, the Marine
Squadron Carib from Aruba, the support ship HNLMS Pelikaan, FRISC vessels, and additional support elements from the Royal Netherlands Navy and Netherlands Marine Corps. Their presence ensures continuity, local expertise, and swift mobilization.
Throughout the exercise, units will train in providing emergency aid, securing public safety, and assisting with rescue operations.
