Two Illegal Firearms Seized in Weekend Police Operations

The Sint Maarten Police Force (KPSM) continues to intensify its fight against criminal activity. Over the weekend, officers seized two illegal firearms and made three arrests in two separate cases. These operations underline KPSM’s zero-tolerance stance on crime and illegal weapons.

Early Monday morning, June 23, 2025, around 10:00 AM, officers apprehended a suspect at the Miss Lalie Center in Cay Bay. The individual, identified by the initials L.Y.L., was attempting to smuggle illegal drugs hidden inside a deodorant bottle.

Stolen Vehicle Leads to Two More Arrests

Shortly after that incident, around 10:30 AM, a citizen approached officers with a tip. He reported seeing his stolen Hyundai H-1 pickup truck heading toward Philipsburg.

A Community Call to Action

Illegal guns continue to pose a serious threat to public safety. While KPSM remains committed to removing these weapons, they need the community’s eyes and ears.
