When asked about these details, Wawoe simply repeated, “I remain silent, sir.”
The prosecution connected these chat accounts to Wawoe using selfies, voice analysis, and other identifying data. Messages included references to smuggling routes to Jamaica and drug-stuffed luggage. Photos of cocaine bricks marked with codes like “SOL” and “C07” were also presented—symbols familiar to drug enforcement agencies.
Despite this, Wawoe denies involvement. He claimed he’s lived quietly in Curaçao for 17 years and has no ties to the criminal world. “I sympathize with the innocent victims. It could have been my family,” he told the court. “I want my name cleared.”
